The Moon was new on Thursday... In the meantime, we'll be under a waning crescent. Look for a tiny crescent moon in the western sky shortly after sunset. This weekend should offer the opportunity to see some Earthshine... sunlight reflected off the Earth onto the non-sunlit portion of the Moon. Weather permitting, the next couple of nights could offer some pretty spectacular views.
