Glare... It's dangerous, and wasteful

We've also been subject to harsh, glaring lights.
You know the ones I'm talking about.
The ones where you have to look away, or shield your eyes.
Not only are they annoying, they're plain dangerous.

Dangerous? Yes, Dangerous.
Checkout the following example and think for a moment if you've ever been in this situation.

You're driving along, with someone bright lights in your eyes. These lights are undoubtedly uncomfortable. But, they also REDUCE your visibility. That's right. Too much light actually reduces your visibility. Want proof?

This is the view that the previous driver wishes he had. I'll bet the pedestrians wish the driver had this view as well.
Pedestrians are actually endangered by the thoughtless use of lights

Here's a quick test.
Walk or drive around your neighborhood one evening. How many of the lights in your neighborhood shine directly into your eyes? These lights are actually DECREASING the security of your neighborhood!
Do you want your family members walking around with such limited visibility?
Do you want to drive with such limited visibility?

Think about it.
The senseless deployment of this type of lighting wastes vital natural resources while simultaneously reducing the very security it was intended to enhance. This has to be stopped.
