Aurora

Here we display some images of the elusive Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights.  The Sun, spewing billions of tons of matter into space in what are known as Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), bombards the Earth and its magnetic field with charged particles.  It's these charged particles and their interaction with the Earth's magnetosphere that cause the aurora.
