There was a double moon-shadow transit on Jupiter this evening, 2003-01-08 -- Ganymede's and Io's. This image was created from RGB exposures captured with an SBIG STV through a Takahashi FS-102 at f/24. The sky was rather turbulent during this event, though conditions improved later in the evening... |

Taken on 9/28/00 in Park City, UT, these are a series of three unmodified images, captured at f/16 by a Meade Pictor 416XT CCD camera through a 4" Takahashi refractor and 2x telecompressor. The exposure time was 15 milliseconds... |
This image is the result of applying Maxim DL's Maximum Entropy Deconvolution to one of the images on the right. |
| This incredible photo (when you consider how it was taken) was captured in Park City on 11/08/00 through an Obsession 25" Newtonian reflector using crude eyepiece projection. Jup was brought to focus through a 20mm Televue Nagler, an Olympus D-340R was held where the eye would normally be, and the shutter snapped. Imagine the possibilities... |
